IMDb qualifier’s 8 & HalFilm Awards is an international event dedicated to those who consider cinema a form of artistic expression to tell themselves. The Festival is open to all kinds of films and is organized by a team of professionals who have shot movies with some of the most famous personalities in the history of cinema awarded with an Oscar, a Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, at the Bafta, at the Berlin Film Festival and also with a Nobel Prize. We are honored to receive this award for Best Short Documentary Film.

The Festival is a tribute to the masterpiece “8 & half” shot by Federico Fellini in 1963. A film dedicated to that wonderful and complex machine of illusions that we call CINEMA. A movie that if you watch it today seems to describe exactly the historical phase that the world is going through . . a phase of uncertainty, confusion, fear of the future and in which we can sometimes feel alone, but it is precisely in such difficult moments that art can be a way of salvation.

That’s why, every morning, we should remind ourselves of that beautiful sentence which ends 8 and a half by Federico Fellini : “Life is a party! Let’s live it together – E’ una festa la vita! Viviamola insieme”
